Max Andis, MS

During my time in the Bochman lab, I worked to characterize PIF1 DNA helicases. Currently, I am a Senior Associate Scientist at Janssen Pharmaceuticals and research and develop Car-T cell therapies. Most important thing to remember is to do the little things right, and the big things will take care of themselves. Also, breathe (it’s important).

Current position: Postdoctoral Research Fellow, Patrick Sung Lab, UT Health San Antonio

I discovered a passion for studying the mechanisms of DNA repair during my time in the Bochman lab, which I have continued to pursue during my postdoctoral research at UT Health San Antonio on the regulation of DNA end resection during double-strand break repair. Outside of the lab, you can find me at the local breweries or enjoying time being a new dad.
