During my time in the Bochman lab, I worked to characterize PIF1 DNA helicases. Currently, I am a Senior Associate Scientist at Janssen Pharmaceuticals and research and develop Car-T cell therapies. Most important thing to remember is to do the little things right, and the big things will take care of themselves. Also, breathe (it’s important).

Cody Rogers, PhD
Current position: Postdoctoral Research Fellow, Patrick Sung Lab, UT Health San Antonio
I discovered a passion for studying the mechanisms of DNA repair during my time in the Bochman lab, which I have continued to pursue during my postdoctoral research at UT Health San Antonio on the regulation of DNA end resection during double-strand break repair. Outside of the lab, you can find me at the local breweries or enjoying time being a new dad.
Gabriella Fluhler, MS
In the lab, I worked on the biochemical properties, over-expression and purification of SftH, a member of the RecQ4 helicase family, found in the archaeon S. solfataricus. Outside of the lab, I like to jog with our dogs, read a good book, or spend time with my daughter and our family.
